COVID-19 Update
How Seeq Is Responding
I want to share our perspective on coronavirus and recent market fluctuations, and on how Seeq will ensure the sustainability, efficiency, and optimization efforts of our customers continue unabated.
We have responded to coronavirus guidance from the CDC with a travel and safety task force and policies to ensure the health and safety of our employees, partners, and customers. This means we will not be able to meet directly with customers in some locations and of course at events which have been canceled. For example, at CERA Week we had a full slate of presentations on Seeq oil & gas use cases with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Saudi Aramco, along with Energy Innovation Pioneer updates. This week we learned PI World was cancelled, where Seeq was a Gold Sponsor with sessions on Seeq in the pharma, mining, and water utility industries, and Hannover Messe has been postponed until July. We will definitely miss these opportunities for 1×1 interaction and discussions.
At the same time, Seeq is a “virtual” organization with employees in Asia, across the United States, and Europe, so there is no single headquarters subject to quarantine or closure. We’ve been working virtually since our founding in 2013 and do not anticipate a slowdown in our rate of software delivery and innovation. Furthermore, we have best practices and innovations from our virtual working model we can apply to remote training and customer experience. If Seeq has resources close to your offices or facilities, for example in London, Perth, or Houston, we can remain in contact via local meetings. If there are issues with meeting in person, we can support virtual meetings and virtual user groups. As one example, upcoming Seeq partner and customer training in Japan has been changed to an online format.
Finally, we believe the uncertain impact of the coronavirus makes our efforts at Seeq all the more important. Data-based decisions, faster time to insights, analytics including predictive, diagnostic, descriptive and monitoring, these are the core benefits of Seeq. Over the last year Seeq doubled our number of employees, added new employees to be closer to customers, and aggressively developed features to support large (5000+) customer deployments. These efforts will continue!
Thank you for your support; all of us at Seeq wish you, your families, and organizations the best in the coming months.
