Seeq Welcomes New Additions to the Team from Siemens & Emerson

Accelerating interest in Seeq since its first commercial release in October, 2015, led to the recent hiring of additional sales and analytics engineer resources to support customer engagements.

These employees, who each bring a strong history of expertise and success with the largest worldwide and US-based automation vendors, will be a welcome addition in driving customer awareness and implementations of Seeq.

Sales Executive Jeff Tropsa joins Seeq from Siemens PLM Software where he was leading North American sales for XHQ products. XHQ is the leading Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence (EMI) system in the Oil&Gas vertical, with data on 25% of worldwide oil production flowing through systems that are viewed in XHQ displays and dashboards. Jeff joined Siemens in 2003 as a result of their acquisition of IndX Software Corporation. IndX was Jeff’s second startup experience; he also worked for Honeywell as a Director of Strategic Alliances, and has completed a BA, MBA, and  post-graduate studies at Harvard Business School.

Principal Analytics Engineer Brian Crandall was formerly with Emerson Electric for 15 years and contributed in a variety of roles that span the software business functions. Brian was a software developer of control systems, a sales consultant working with customers on Emerson’s manufacturing execution system, and most recently a Product Marketing Manager for the DeltaV control system’s batch, historian, and data integration products. Prior to his experience with Emerson Brian worked as a Control Systems Engineer for Motorola. Brian earned an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Texas, Austin and a BS in Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.

Seeq is a virtual company, which means employees are able to work remotely in any location, so Jeff and Brian will continue to live and work from Phoenix and Austin, respectively, joining colleagues in 7 other states.
