Daniel Carter
Board ObserverDaniel Carter is Managing Director at Aramco Ventures (“AV”) responsible for Western North America. Hired in 2013 as the first investor of AV in the US, Daniel was also first investor at Prosperity7 US and led its first five investments.
Daniel has over 30 years of experience financing and investing in the US, EU and Australia. Prior to AV, he was CFO for a start-up, a VC for 9 years in a fund with investors including Goldman Sachs, Shell, KIA, and KPC, and at Citigroup/Salomon Smith Barney for 8 years in Investment Banking.
Daniel led and managed investments for AV/P7 in cybersecurity, oil-tech, fintech, software, cloud infrastructure, semiconductors, blockchain and climatech including Seeq, Upside, Dragos, Xage, Xpansiv, Pulsora, Taulia (sold to SAP), SiFive, Wasabi, Cart, Callsign, Jeeves, AppOmni, Capsule8 (sold to Sophos), Data Gumbo, Zahroof Valves (sold to Atlas Copco), Clarke Valves and Rive Technology (sold to WR Grace).
