In this breakout session, Dominion Energy shares how it is transitioning away from legacy PI-based applications and rethinking ownership of operational tools. Faced with aging systems, cached metadata, slow IT change cycles, and growing scale across millions of tags and multiple data sources, the team used Seeq add-ons, Data Lab, and Workbench to build a reporting application inside Seeq. They also discuss dynamic tag discovery, governance, security, support for different report types, and a broader shift toward business-led, easier-to-maintain solutions able to evolve over time.
