Syensqo - Enhancing Teamwork: Leveraging Dashboards for More Effective Collaboration

Cara Blankenbicker, Industrial Data Scientist, Syensqo

In the complex world of manufacturing, a process cannot be run optimally if people do not have access to relevant information when they need it. Information has historically been shared using a tapestry of solutions to generate dashboards for operators, monthly spreadsheets for stakeholders and ad-hoc analyses for engineers to troubleshoot processes. Today this can be streamlined into a coherent SEEQ dashboard solution, the product of an ongoing collaboration between site and corporate resources.

CMC - Scrap to Sustainability: Leveraging Seeq’s Reporting for Enhanced Recycling Efficiency

Mikayla McAweeney, Manufacturing Excellence Process Engineer, CMC

CMC enhances the metal recycling process at our scrap yards by using wire choppers to process wires and cables that encase nonferrous metals like copper and aluminum. Although these metals cannot be used in CMC’s steel production, CMC remains committed to building a more sustainable world. The wire chopper removes and chops the nonferrous metal rods into smaller, manageable sizes, which are then sorted by metal type and sold for repurposing. Seeq’s trending capabilities allow CMC to monitor wire chopper currents (amps), identify excessive feeding periods, and detect wear on the chopper blades. Combining these trends and analysis with Seeq’s powerful interactive reporting tool provides CMC with easily accessible data and valuable insights, improving recycling and machine maintenance at CMC Recycling Lexington.

Albemarle -Top 10 Reasons You’re Stuck in AI & Transformation Pilot Purgatory

Jonathan Alexander, Manufacturing AI & Advanced Analytics Manager, Albemarle

Pilot purgatory: where AI dreams go to die and budgets go to burn. The good news? You’re not alone. The bad news? It’s costing you big time in lost ROI and wasted potential. In this session, Albemarle spills the secrets behind scaling AI successfully—from their full technology suite including Seeq, Aveva’s PI System, Databricks, Generative AI, SPC, & Machine Learning, paired with the often-overlooked pillars of Change Management, Organizational Buy-In, and a relentless focus on Business Value.

Rio Tinto - Enhancing Aluminum Cable Coiling Quality with Tangle Probability Indicators

Josée Colbert, 4.0 Casting Specialist, Rio Tinto

This study focuses on improving aluminum cable coiling by developing a real-time detection method using process signals. A high-level indicator was created to monitor coiler performance and correlate with tangle rates, enabling proactive quality control. This approach enhances process understanding, supports data-driven decision making, and demonstrates the value of advanced analytics in improving manufacturing efficiency.
