May 27, 2022

Seeq Conneqt has officially wrapped, and the team is still feeling the excitement. Designed for manufacturing leaders to explore the latest innovations in advanced industrial analytics, Conneqt brought together a community of Seeq customers, partners, and experts to “Conneqt. Collaborate. Conquer “data and process control challenges. Attendees gained access to transformative business trends, use cases, and proactive conversations through a series of interactive sessions.

For the Seeq team, Conneqt is more than just sharing our vision for the future of our product portfolio, it’s making impactful human connections with the customers we serve. It’s about hearing our customers’ ideas, understanding their business challenges, and finding new ways to harness their manufacturing expertise to drive sustainable and scalable business results for their organizations.

Throughout Conneqt, Seeq executives and customers covered a lot of ground in industry use case presentations, hands-on training, fireside chats, and forward-thinking cloud partner discussions—and even had time to fit in a few foosball games and karaoke songs. The collective ideas and effort from all attendees made Conneqt an impactful conference that the Seeq team is eager to repeat and expand for years to come.

Here are a few key takeaways from Conneqt 2022:

Successful user adoption starts with organizational culture.

Change management is often an uphill battle, particularly for organizations with well-established, risk-averse business dynamics. In today’s digital world, the successful adoption of any digital solution requires analysis of its relationship with the organization’s culture. By understanding the opportunities that solutions, like Seeq, can uncover as well as the potential change management challenges, such as articulating value to leadership and upskilling employees, before deployment, organizations can proactively address them to accelerate time to results.

Scaling analytics is challenging, but the cloud can help.

When it comes to industrial analytics, process manufacturers want to follow the “Dream Big, Start Small, and Scale Fast” approach. But while digital solutions enable these organizations to easily achieve the first two steps, scaling can still present obstacles. By leveraging cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, these organizations can scale performance by leaning on the cloud’s computing power to manage the growing volume of users and data. With increased access to data sources all over the world, employees can collaborate more efficiently to drive transformational impact on business outcomes.

Solving the sustainability mystery starts with measurement.

Despite a deluge of pledges from companies to reduce their impact on the environment, many organizations are still left questioning where to begin. For those that have successfully taken the leap, measurement was likely the first step in controlling their sustainability journey.

For example, by streamlining their greenhouse gas emissions reporting using Seeq, Chevron reduced its monthly reporting time from days to a few hours, enabling engineering teams to accelerate time to insight and process improvements. With a clear view of their progress, teams can build confidence in their efforts and begin prioritizing focus areas. As priorities and best practices are set, these organizations can start tracking progress toward their goals and building meaningful differentiation from competition, leading to economic rewards.

We’ll see you next year!
