In Memory of Andre Nellams

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Andre Nellams, Seeq’s Vice President of Human Resources, and honor his dedication and passion that helped shape Seeq’s culture. His enduring influence is felt throughout our organization every day.

Andre joined Seeq in March 2023 at a pivotal time in the company’s growth and quickly established himself as a transformational leader, bringing not only deep expertise in Human Resources, but also genuine care for every employee at the company. His leadership was marked by his unwavering integrity, commitment to our mission, and a unique ability to combine high standards with true empathy, acknowledging and valuing every individual. 

Andre was promoted to Vice President in January 2024 and was a critical member of Seeq’s Executive Leadership Team. This promotion acknowledged Andre’s development of the company’s strategic roadmap for leadership and talent development and the transformation of the HR function into a center of excellence. He was a key business partner to the CEO as well as a partner and mentor to department leaders, front line managers, and employees. Through his engagement in day-to-day operations, he never lost sight of the importance of kindness in every interaction. 

In addition to his broad impact, what we will remember most about our friend and colleague is, perhaps, his love of life —love of family, love of community, love of colleagues, and love for the pursuit of both work and fun. We remember his love of roller coasters, video games, Marvel, Star Wars, music, his church choir, travel, cruises, and Las Vegas. We remember his voice, which was big but never intimidating. We remember his guidance, which could be tough but never demeaning. He taught us so many lessons about how to live well and work well.  

Andre’s legacy at Seeq is lasting, and his spirit will continue to guide us as we move forward. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Andre’s beloved family and friends, and to everyone who had the privilege to work alongside him. We are grateful for the indelible mark Andre left on our hearts and our company.
