February 19, 2016 – IHS, the leading source of insight, analytics and expertise in critical areas that shape today’s business landscape, names Seeq® an Energy Innovation Pioneer for 2016.
Selected for its innovation in enabling faster insights on energy production data, Seeq will be featured at IHS CERAWeek, the world’s premier energy industry event, taking place February 22-26 in Houston. Seeq is one of just ten companies selected as an Energy Innovation Pioneer, which recognizes companies and entrepreneurs developing technologies and business plans that are transforming the energy future.
Seeq is the first of a new generation of applications which address the gap between the volume of data collected in the generation, processing, and distribution of energy, and the challenges of extracting insight and benefit from that data. This challenge, where organizations are “drowning in data but starving for information,” is a key business issue and it's only getting worse with the proliferation of new sensors and data associated with the Internet of Things. The benefits to energy industry customers using Seeq include faster time to insight on quality, yield, margins, and safety.
Seeq Corporation President Steve Sliwa will be joining other Energy Innovation Pioneers to discuss the impact of new technologies on the future of energy. He will speak at a Strategic Dialogue on February 23, 7:30 – 8:45 a.m. CST: Accelerating Game Changing Oil and Gas Technologies to Manage an Industry in Transition.
“We selected Seeq from a list of more than 350 early-stage technology companies covering the entire spectrum of the energy production value chain because of their innovative approach to enable frontline engineers to perform advanced analytics and extract actionable insights on energy industry data in a timely manner,” said Carolyn Seto, director at IHS Energy and co-chair of the Energy Innovation Pioneers program. “The demand for solutions that unlock user productivity in discovering insights within the vast amounts of data generated in the energy industry is very high, and growing every year.”
“Seeq redefines user productivity in the pursuit of insights and value from the vast quantities of data generated in the energy industry,” said Dr. Sliwa. “We are honored to be recognized as a 2016 Pioneer and look forward to discussing how Seeq can assist companies in the industry with key issues such as reliability, energy optimization, and safety.”
IHS energy experts select promising energy technology companies for the CERAWeek Energy Innovation Pioneers based on creativity, feasibility of plan, scalability of technology and leadership team. The Energy Innovation Pioneers are being recognized at this week's CERAWeek conference, that draws more than 2,800 executives and other thought leaders from the global energy industry to discuss policy, markets and technologies, as well as environmental and climate concerns.
