Alberto is passionate about solving engineering problems creatively. He strives to empower process engineers to unlock potential from process data with Seeq.
Alberto graduated from Universidad de Guanajuato, Mexico with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He then earned a M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering both from Texas A&M University. Alberto has a strong educational background in thermo-fluid sciences (Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transfer, and Thermodynamics), and he has a keen interest in combining physics-based and data-driven models.
After graduate school, Alberto worked for FMC Technologies as a multi-physics analyst doing heat transfer and fluid dynamics analyses for Oil and Gas subsea equipment. He then joined GE Oil and Gas which later became Baker Huges, a GE Company (BHGE). During his tenure at BHGE he transitioned to the data analytics and data science space where he developed data driven models and workflows in Python for several applications including process engineering and well drilling analysis.
Alberto has a passion for teaching too. He has been a lecturer instructor several semesters for University of Houston teaching Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics or Design of Experiments. During his free time, he enjoys learning something new, playing piano or guitar, cooking, and spending time with his wife and daughter.
