James has a passion for solving problems creatively and efficiently.
He strives to provide a technical-creative link between Seeq’s innovative software and its customers.
A mathematician first, James honed his analytical skills at Florida State University, where he earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Pure Mathematics. In 2009, he opted to pursue a more hands-on path in his education, obtaining a second Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida.
He arrives at Seeq by way of Mitsubishi Hitachi Power Systems, where he worked as a mechanical engineer and data analyst in MHPSA’s Remote Monitoring Center. There he investigated issues, analyzed operational data, and built automated reporting and alerting tools for more than 100,000 data signals streaming in from 40+ monitored gas turbines in the Mitsubishi fleet. Prior to working at MHPSA, James worked for Siemens Energy, where he took part in the design and mechanical analysis of gas turbine casings.
Originally from Virginia Beach, James stays close to the ocean at his home in Orlando, Florida. He is an avid surfer and snow skier, and he enjoys hiking with his wife, Aurora, and their two dogs – the three cats stay home.
