Arnold graduated with a B. Sc. in engineering from the University of Alberta in 1972 and started his career with Gulf Oil in Vancouver, Canada. Over the next 15 years he held various positions in Marketing, Financial Planning, Refining, Supply & Distribution at both the regional and head office levels.
After a short period in the automotive industry he returned to oil & gas as the President of Setpoint Canada and then went on to be the CEO and co-founder of InterPlant Consulting. InterPlant designed and developed a comprehensive, integrated suite of Hydrocarbon Management applications. InterPlant was acquired by Honeywell and renamed to Uniformance, however the innovative historian, continues with its original name PHD and forms a key part of Honeywell’s automation and control systems solutions.
Arnold has an extensive track record of consulting to petrochemical and refining companies to assist in defining, justifying, planning, and implementing strategic operations support systems. The list includes -- Exxon Mobil, Esso, Saudi Aramco, Samsung, LG, Petro Canada, Suncor, Chevron, Husky, Honam Oil, Novacor, Shell, and ICI.
Arnold and his wife Linda have two children and four plus grandchildren who provide an endless supply of projects to work on and special events to attend. For stress release we have our pet dog Billie and love to get in a round of golf or ski.
